Senior's Day

Saturday, September 28, 2019

Registration Deadline: September 25, 2019

Who can come?  This special event is for those age 55 and up

How much does it cost to attend? $15 will cover your cost for the day.  That includes two meals and all the activities during the event.  The only extra expense would be for any souvenirs you'd like to purchase at the camp store or anything additional you'd like to put into the freewill offering.

But camp is just for kids. Right?  Absolutely not!  While we do a lot with young people, we try to offer opportunities each year for EVERYONE to be involved in some sort of camp activity.  The Lord has allowed us to continue our Youth Camps, Young Adults Retreat, Father/Son, Mother/Daughter Retreat and more.  Here's a chance just for Seniors to spend the day at camp.

What will we be doing?  We'll have some time to get a tour of camp in the form of a tractor wagon or bus ride.  You'll be able to test your skill at our mini golf course and enjoy some yard games.  We'll have some games and things to do if you'd like to stay indoors at the dining hall.  And, of course, we'll have the coffee pots bubbling all day.  We'll serve two wonderful meals from the camp kitchen for you to enjoy.  Plenty of opportunity for some good fellowship is in the schedule too.  We will be finishing up our day with an old-timey hymn sing and a challenge from God's Word.  The day will be concluded after supper.

I'd like to come, but that's just too much driving for one day.  If you're traveling from a longer distance, we'd be happy to offer lodging to you from Saturday into Sunday.  For those staying overnight, we will have a hot breakfast and a chapel service on Sunday morning.  Check out will be by 10:30 on Sunday morning.  There will be an additional cost for those staying overnight.  See more info about overnight lodging below.

Tentative Schedule

9:30-10:00--Arrive at camp (Dining Hall)
10:00--Opening Announcements
1:00--More Activities Available/Camp Tours/Camp Store Open
4:00--Old-Fashioned Hymn Sing
5:00--Triple S Supper (Soup, Salad and Sandwich)
After Supper, you're free to head home
