Cancellation Policy

In order to successfully sign up for an event, you'll need to pay the registration fee. If you decide to cancel your reservation for summer camp or other retreats and events, please contact the camp office as soon as possible by calling (608) 489-3810 or by emailing info@trailridge.org. If a refund is requested for a cancellation after the registration deadline (typically within a week and a half of the event) all but 20% of the registration fee will be refunded. Except in unforeseeable circumstances like inclement weather or sudden sickness, we are unable to refund any day of cancellations or no shows.
Why do we keep 20%?
When you register, we plan on you being at camp. Depending on the event, we prepare lodging for you and plan on you for meal times.  If you don't show up, time and money is wasted in those preparations and expenses. If you have questions regarding the amount of refund or the process, feel free to contact the camp office.

Late Registration Policy

For almost every event at Trail Ridge, there is a registration deadline.  When registration closes, there is much work to do relating to lodging, food service, activity planning and staffing.  After these deadlines, we are not obligated to accept any camper registrations.
At times we are able to extend registration for a few individuals if there are open spaces.  If you missed a registration deadline, feel free to contact the camp office to see if an extension can be made.  If an opportunity for late registration is made available to you, a late registration fee will be added to your registration. This fee will incur an additional $10 to the regular registration fee.

Lost and Found Policy

It's our goal to have campers take all their personal belongings home with them at the end of their stay at camp. Sometimes we find orphaned articles of clothing or other possessions looking for their owners. If it's something that can be washed, we'll wash it and store it in our Lost and Found for 30 days. Any excessively gross item, single socks, undergarments, non-electric toothbrushes, etc. will be discarded. We will not seek out owners of lost items to get them returned. You are responsible for all items you bring/send to camp.
How do I get my stuff back?
Contact the camp office with a description of the item(s) within 30 days of the camp event. If we have it, we can either arrange for you to swing by camp to pick up the item or we'll package it up and ship it to you. Lost and found items are shipped at the camper's expense.
What do you do with the unclaimed stuff?
If we do not receive a request for the item within 30 days, it will be discarded, used for camp, or donated. Sometimes we're able to reuse unclaimed Lost and Found items. Things like towels are great for campers who forget to bring one. We also have used them as rags for the Maintenance and Housekeeping departments. We'll give unclaimed refillable water bottles for campers don't have one. Sometimes campers come to camp without enough clothing for the week or clothing that does not fit within our dress guidelines. Having the ability to help them out by lending them some unclaimed clothing for the week is a great way to continue to reach out to campers' physical needs.

Tips to avoid lost items:
1.  Label belongings with the camper's name. Label their hats, shoes, towel, Bible, bathing suit, flashlight--even their shampoo! Don't forget to let your camper know that all of their things are labeled. This also helps our Cabin Leaders throughout the week know what belongs to who.
2.  Send a "dirty laundry bag" to camp. On the top of their clothes in their suitcase, pack a bag for them to put all their dirty laundry in. This helps avoid piles of unclaimed clothes on the cabin floors.
3.  Let your camper be part of the packing process.  Nobody can pack a suitcase as good as mom or dad, but allowing your campers to help by picking out clothing, putting items in the suitcase can help them remember what's theirs.
4.  Create a packing checklist.  Some parents choose to write a packing list and check off items as they are packed.  You can include a copy of that list in their suitcase so they know to remember to bring everything home.

Trail Ridge Dress Code

At Trail Ridge, we strive to honor God through our words, actions, and appearance. All camp staff, volunteers, and campers are expected to follow the dress code, which will be enforced by camp staff.
When packing, please choose clothing that reflects modesty. Here are the guidelines:
Shorts must be no shorter than mid-thigh.
Skintight clothing is not considered appropriate coverage unless worn as a base layer.
Undergarments should never be visible.
Sleeveless shirts are permissible, but tank tops are not allowed.
Clothing with inappropriate messages (suggestive language or content promoting non-biblical values) is not permitted.
Cover-ups that comply with the dress code must be worn to and from the pool.
Ladies/Girls: Swimwear must be a modest one-piece or full coverage shorts and shirt combination. Skirts and dresses must be knee-length or longer, and shorts must be worn underneath for camp activities.
Men/Boys: Swimwear must be boxer-style swim trunks.
Trail Ridge reserves the right to request any camper to change clothing if, in the staff's judgement, the outfit is immodest, inappropriate, or inconsistent with the camp's standards.
